Girls weekend in Toronto!

Girls weekend in Toronto!

When the trip finally makes it out of the group chat, you know its going to be a good time! Summer always calls for weekend getaways, so we had to plan a girls trip to Toronto from Ottawa! There’s so much to do in Toronto and we had a fun filled weekend packed with activities and FOOD, because lets face it, food always makes or breaks the vacation.

Our plan was to enjoy downtown Toronto as much as possible so we stayed at the W Hotel in Yorkville and it was honestly one of the BEST hotels I have ever stayed at. The location, the staff, the room, and all the restaurants in the building were amazing. If you wanted to stay put in one place and not go anywhere else, you were set.

The W Hotel is in the perfect location to walk almost anywhere. It is in Yorkville near a lot of stores and amazing restaurants and if you love to walk, you can even walk to Eaton Centre from there.

We got the Garden room with two queen beds and it was perfect for 4 girls. We shared beds and we even had a little patio outside to enjoy. It was spacious and comfortable and those pillows I wanted to take home with me!

The lobby and Living room restaurant at the W Hotel are breathtaking. It looked so luxurious and the seating was beautiful. We enjoyed the Living room for some mocktails when we arrived and the next morning we had the High Tea brunch with the lipstick makeup box which was such a girly experience. The savoury and sweet bites were so good. It is definitely an experience I recommend doing with your girls!

We had planned to go to Sugar beach after high tea but it was raining that day, so instead we borrowed umbrellas from the hotel and walked around to explore the area and when we got hungry, we walked to the new Shake Shack that opened near Eaton Centre. Their meat is halal so we were so excited to try it! There was a massive line up when we got there but it moved fast and the burgers were a solid 8/10.

You can’t be in Toronto and not go on a roof top somewhere. That evening, we went to the Skylight Rooftop Bar in the same building as the W Hotel and the vibes and food were amazing!

The next day was the highlight of our entire trip - we were going to Chris Brown’s concert! We were so excited because it was not only our first concert but also one of our favourite artists.

We had breakfast at the Public School restaurant at the W Hotel and it was DELISH. It’s a gorgeous restaurant and we all enjoyed our meals. I got the salmon Benedict and I would definitely go back and get the same thing!

After breakfast, we went to the Distillery District, which is a beautiful area to walk around in, do a little shopping and check out restaurants. We had booked a Candle Making workshop at Yummi Candles and it was SO FUN. You get to take home the candles with you which was the perfect keepsake for our amazing trip.

We had lunch at the Distillery and then headed back to the hotel to get ready for the concert. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. We were in awe of Chris Brown’s talent, and being able to sing along to his songs and hear it LIVE was such an amazing experience. If you ever get the chance to go see him live, DO IT.

And that concludes our girls Toronto trip!! The next morning we grabbed some coffee and walked on lakeshore because the weather was amazing and we wanted to soak it all in before heading back. It was such a fun time and memorable time. Get your girls together and give yourselves a much needed trip!
