Staycation for my 30th Birthday at the Westin and Shoreclub!

I still cannot believe I am 30! My birthday was on the 8th of October and me being huge on birthdays I needed to do something special, even during the pandemic. I thought a staycation would be the perfect idea to get out of the house to celebrate.

My staycation was at the beautiful Westin hotel for the weekend. So I invited my girlfriends to dinner at the Shore Club restaurant which is attached to the Westin. It was all of our first time there and we had an AMAZING time. From the dinner, to the ambiance, the service, it was all so PERFECT. We wanted to try out different items on the menu, so we decided to do a bunch of shareable plates. If you love seafood, the seafood tower is just mouth watering. Some of their side dishes that we loved were, the mixed mushrooms, mac n cheese and the, buratta salad.

After dinner we went to the hotel room I booked for my overnight stay where we had my birthday cake and played some games. The view is incredible of the room, showcasing downtown Ottawa. It was such a good time.

My beautiful cake was designed by Nanas Cakes Ottawa. Her cakes NEVER disappoint. The design was exactly what I wanted and it tasted incredible.

I woke up to a beautiful view and ordered in room service for breakfast. There is something special about having your breakfast in your room.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend ordering your breakfast to your room and taking some cute photos for instagram!

The mirror in the bathroom doubles as a TV which is phenomenal. I have never seen anything like this before!

If you have no idea what to do for your special birthday, I recommend a staycation and dinner at a restaurant with friends. Its fun, its close to home and it makes for a very good time! I loved the dinner at the Shoreclub and my stay at The Westin Ottawa.
