My Baby Blue Themed Shower
You're probably thinking, another baby shower?! haha yes!! Thats the plus side of having grown up in another city where your family is still located. My mom and sister wanted to throw me a baby shower in Toronto, where I grew up, so I could celebrate with them and friends from the city. It was perfect! When I first started to think about having a baby shower, I couldn't decide on a theme! Thankfully, I was able to enjoy the best of both worlds, celebrating my pregnancy at a modern high tea themed shower in Ottawa with friends and then celebrating my little cupcake on the way at an adorable baby boy themed shower in Toronto.
With spring around the corner, I knew I wanted baby blue for the theme. Combined with white and silver, and adorable teddy bear accents, it came altogether just as I imagined. Not to mention, the table decor with the balloons made the room look so charming!
My baby themed shower turned out so cute, from the tulle balloons with the baby jars, to the half arch balloon design and the baby sweet table. The teddy bear accents were just perfect! You bet I kept one for my baby! I love how it says "My First Teddy." :)

There were two baby box decor set ups in two separate areas of the party room. It was a big party room so we needed to fill up space and they looked great! The baby boxes by the shower favour table was done by mom. I was so impressed. The other baby boxes were rented from The Paper Florist.
This backdrop was one of the highlights of the baby shower decor. I was hesitant about decorating with florals at first because I'm having a baby boy but keeping the florals neutral with a hint of periwinkle worked without it looking too feminine! It complimented my dress too :)
The gorgeous floral backdrop and the Mommy To Be sign are from The Paper Florist! She can custom make any background for your event. All the floral pieces are handmade with love. Her business is located in Ottawa, ON but its available for rent, so I took mine with me to my Toronto baby shower.
The baby shower games were set up in one area of the party room.
The activities were:
Decorate a onesie, Guess the Baby Food, Guess How Many, & Guess the Poo (chocolate)!
I absolutely loved the idea of decorating a onesie. I didn't even realize how creative and talented some of my friends are! In the corner, there was also a stand that held new mom advice cards for the guests to fill out. I think its great to include this at your shower! Its nice to read afterwards and its great to keep for memory.
To fit the baby theme, the dessert table was catered around baby things. The cake topper was a little dresser with a teddy bear and baby clothes hanging. It was so cute and the best part is I got to take it home for memory.
Lets just say, this table was wiped clean within seconds!! Everyone enjoyed the sweets!
